CARL P. GROSS
 
Carl P. Gross was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1971, and officially retired from the practice of law as of January 1, 1997, his name continues to be included in the firm name.

CAROL J. TRUSS
 
Carol Truss’s areas of expertise focus primarily on real estate law, including commercial and residential title transfers and refinances, commercial leasing, and residential and commercial property management matters. The purchase and sale of small businesses and the general representation of such businesses are also a significant part of her practice, including the sale, transfer and use of liquor licenses.

Ms. Truss graduated from Monmouth College summa cum laude in 1979, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 1982, she was awarded a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and in 1985, she received her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
 
She is an active member of the Monmouth Bar Association. For the past few years, she has chaired their Real Estate and Land Development Committee. She has in the past and presently serves as a Trustee of the Association. She is also a past chair and lifetime member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section Board of Consultors.

 

NEAL HERSTIK
 
Neal Herstik's areas of practice focus primarily on commercial real estate transactions and commercial litigation.
 
Mr. Herstik graduated from the University of New York at Binghamton with a B.A. in Economics in 1976 and graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1983.
 
Mr. Herstik is a member of the Board of Directors Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation.
 
 

SUNG A. HONG-CHEN 
 
Sung A. Hong-Chen is also known as Susan Hong.  Ms. Hong-Chen's area of practice focuses primarily on general/commercial civil litigation
and mortgage foreclosures.  She also handles commercial and residential real estate transactions. 
 
Sung A. Hong-Chen is a Member of both the New Jersey and New York State Bars.  She is admitted to the United States District Court
of the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. 
 
She graduated Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English in 1994, and thereafter graduated Seton Hall University
School of Law in 1997.

ANTHONY J. MONACO
 
Mr. Monaco is of counsel to the firm. He graduated "with honors" from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark in 1988, and he received his undergraduate degree "cum laude" from Fordham University in New York City in 1979. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in New Jersey, and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He and several colleagues were instrumental in founding the Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee in the early 1990s, and
he served as Committee Chair in 1998-99.
 
Since 1991, Mr. Monaco has written and published The New Jersey Insurance Law and Regulation Reporter, a monthly magazine devoted to developments in New Jersey insurance law. His subscribers comprise a thorough cross-section of the state’s lawyers, and he counts most of New Jersey’s largest law firms as his subscribers. He is a frequent lecturer on insurance issues at seminars sponsored by the Bar Association’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and by private seminar companies as well.

Although Mr. Monaco has focused his practice on commercial litigation, he is well-versed in transactional work as well, and his knowledge of insurance affords the firm’s transaction-based clients a level of sophistication usually available only at larger firms.

SOUTH OF FREEHOLD - Take Route 9 North into Freehold Township.  Go straight through traffic light at Route 79 and Schanck Road. Go straight through the next traffic light and then watch for West Main Street exit before overpass.  Take West Main Street exit from Route 9, bear to the left and go up slight incline to the traffic light.  Make a right at traffic light onto West Main Street.  Go straight through next light which crosses Route 33.  After light at Rt. 33, go down about four blocks (counting streets on the right).  Our building is on the left after the church, directly across from the fourth block (banks on each corner).  Pull into parking lot driveway between our building and the Bank of New York, park in back and come in rear wing of building at side door.  We are on the second floor.
 
NORTH OF FREEHOLD - Turnpike to Exit 11, to Route 9 South.  Go through Old Bridge area and pass junction with Route  18.   Pass Covered Bridge Development on right (Manalapan Township).  Pass car dealerships (David Michael, Whelan and Mitsubishi) followed by major intersection with Rt. 33 in Freehold. Get into second lane from the right.  Pass Barnes & Noble and Freehold Raceway on left, Freehold Raceway Mall on Right.  This lane will take you off Route 9 at the Route 537/West Main Street exit.  Go up ramp to traffic light and make a left.  After second light, go down about four blocks (counting streets on the right).  Our building is on the left after the church, directly across from the fourth block (banks on each corner).  Pull into parking lot driveway between our building and the Bank of New York, park in back and come in rear wing of building at side door.  We are on the second floor.
 
SOUTHWEST OF FREEHOLD - Turnpike to Exit 8, to Route 33 East.  Go through East Windsor and Manalapan into Freehold.  Exit for Business Route 33 East. Staying on Route 33 East, you will pass Wemrock Orchards, entrance to Freehold Raceway Mall, junction with Route 9, and Freehold Raceway.  At next traffic light, make a left onto Route 537 East a/k/a West Main Street.  Go down about four blocks (counting streets on the right).  Our building is on the left after the church, directly across from the fourth block (banks on each corner).  Pull into parking lot driveway between our building and the Bank of New York, park in back and come in rear wing of building at side door.  We are on the second floor.
 
EAST OF FREEHOLD - Take either Route 79 South or Route 537 West into the Borough.  Continue straight through town, at light by Hall of Records continue to go straight on 537 West.  You will then pass on your right Throckmorton Street, the bus station, the municipal building, a couple of old houses converted into offices, then the Bank of New York,  and immediately after that is my building.  Pull into parking lot driveway between our building and the Bank of New York, park in back and come in rear wing of building at side door.  We are on the second floor.
